William Morland is a Software Engineering Manager working on Data Portability and Transparency at Meta London. He attended the MyData 2022 conference and is reachable on the MyData Slack instance. He contributes to the Data Transfer Project which is an open-source, service-to-service data portability platform supporting by the Data Transfer Initiative (https://dtinit.org/). Prior to Meta, William worked as a Software Engineer at the privacy startup Privitar (2017-2018) and on the Privacy and Civil Liberties team at Palantir (2013-2017). He has experience in engineering privacy-preserving technical solutions for a wide range of organisations. William holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science with Physics from the University of Cambridge.
