Professor Ruben Verborgh is Head of Data Interoperability at Inrupt, the company turning the web into a data platform for all. He leads a cross-departmental team of engineers and architects harnessing the new phase of the web to realize the power of interoperable data. Ruben was among the earliest designers and evangelists of the Solid protocol, working alongside Sir Tim Berners-Lee at MIT since 2017. Ruben’s group researches and implements technologies that support sustainable innovation with an ecosystem of Solid data. With over a decade as a computer scientist, he also serves as a professor of decentralized web technology at Ghent University, and as a visiting fellow at the Oxford Martin School within the University of Oxford.
