This session is hosted by Paula Bello
This is a call to action: Children have a right to be protected, empowered, and inspired in the digital worlds.
Our session emphasizes the importance of a child-centric approach to data through concrete case examples. We will view these cases from the perspective of the circle of trust of the child (parents, guardians, teachers, service providers, etc), and invite you to reflect on your role in safeguarding the rights of the child.
We will do this through a combination of presentations and workshop. Our experienced multidisciplinary team will guide participants to understand the perspectives of parents, guardians, teachers, social workers, and companies working with children’s data. The objective is that, by understanding these perspectives, you get insights to develop child-centric policies and services. In addition, we will share stories of ongoing work in the field and hope to hear your own stories.
