The Data Transfer Project was announced in 2018 to make it easier for organizations to build, deploy, and scale portability tools through its open-source technology framework, which today powers direct data transfer features within Google Takeout, Facebook’s Transfer Your Information, and Apple’s Data and Privacy page, as well as software libraries that connect to over a dozen additional services. DTP supports data types such as Photos, Social Posts, and Music Playlists. However, there are use cases that only a community of subject matter experts could uncover. This session will bring together participants of varying backgrounds to ideate new areas of investment for DTP and pseudo-code data models that can be incorporated into the open-source project.
